AN EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCE

Interviews will be preserved as a permanent resource in the GSRMA Archive. As well as active dissemination, the long-term intention is to make the material available for public access, research, and scholarship.  Transcriptions are generated for all interviews and the material is professionally processed and archived according to best practice preservation standards. This is an active project and we will continue to document the memories and stories of interviewees around the country.

FULL INTERVIEW SAMPLES

Below are two examples of full oral history recordings, with interviewees Phyllis Nolan and Michael McKenna, in addition to the full transcript for each.  They showcase the richness and depth of the project and also demonstrate how the broader collection will help generate a fuller, more accurate picture of the past through recorded interviews by well-informed and trained collectors.
